SOLO DANCE AND CHEER
State 2012 is proud to introduce Dance Solo, Dance Duo/Trio, Dance Groups and
Cheer Solo Competition.
This exciting new set of divisions is open to: Junior High School Students, High School Students, All Star Team Members, Dance Studio Members, Gymnastics Studio Members, and Dance Crew Members.
Cost: $30.00 Per Participant/Per Performance.
You may enter multiple divisions
Divisions:
Cheer: 1 cheer – may include tumbling and jumps – 1 minute max.
Elementary/Junior High School Students – Solo only
High School Students - Solo only
Dance: 1 dance – may be pom, jazz, lyrical, hip hop – 2 minutes max.
Elementary/Junior High – Solo, Duo/Trio, Groups (4 or more)
High School – Solo, Duo/Trio, Groups (4 or more)
Date: Friday, March 2, 2012
Registration Time: 12:00pm – 12:45pm
Performance Time: 1:00pm – 4:00pm
Process: All competitors will perform their original routines
Announcements/Awards: 4:15pm
Cheer & Dance Elementary/Junior High Participants:
Cheer – Top 3 from Elementary/Junior High School
Dance - Top 3 from Elementary/Junior High School
Final High School Dance Show Down:
Our professional judging panel will select 5 top high school dance finalists, (solo, duo/trio, group) to learn an 8-8 count routine from a master choreographer. Finalists will then add 5-8 counts of their own choreography along with transitions, formations and original flair, to complete this dance. Teaching will be from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Final Show Down Dance Performances will begin at 8:00pm. First Place winners will take home a cash prize and the title of “State Champion 2012”. Second and Third Place will take home a trophy.
Final High School Cheer Show Down: Our professional judging panel will select 5 top high school cheerleaders to perform their original routine again. First Place Winners will take home a cash prize and the title of “State Champion 2012”. Second and Third Place will take home a trophy. Final Show Down Cheer Performances will begin at 8:00pm.
Final High School Dance/Cheer Awards: 9:30pm
